CONCILIATION COURT
Proven Record
Conciliation Court is an option for people or businesses in Minnesota to bring a lawsuit against another party when the claim is less than $15,000. A lawsuit brought in conciliation court involves a party who is suing another person or entity and is referred to as the Plaintiff. The plaintiff is responsible for drafting, filing and serving a summons and complaint on the party being sued [the Defendant(s)].

Lawsuits in conciliation court are less formal than District Court. Conciliation Court cases have lower filing fees, present opportunities for settlement, and provide a right to both parties to demand a contested hearing (a trial) before a judge on the merits and facts of the case.

While these actions are less formal, there are still legal formalities that apply to ensure the rights of either party are upheld. Kyle Murray is experienced in conciliation court working on behalf of those who seek to recover money or property that another person has not paid or refuses to return possession of the property to the rightful owner.
